THE HAUNTED COTTAGE

Harpers Ferry is known not only for its history but also for its many ghosts! According to local legend, the most haunted property is that of the mysterious Booth House: The Haunted Cottage of Harpers Ferry! Recently acquired author and paranormal researcher Vince Wilson, it is now also home to The National Paranormal History Museum, the headquarters for the Paranormal Investigators Coalition and the only paranormal research training facility in the Mid-Atlantic.

BE A PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR

When you visit THE HAUNTED COTTAGE you will be able to investigate its many haunted areas including the slave quarters, where moaning and shuffling is often heard! Perhaps you will run into one of the Shadow Apparitions reported over the years being seen on the property and in the windows. We have real paranormal investigative equipment you can use to track any supernatural presence you may come across. Learn about the history of the paranormal from the National Paranormal Museum and curator  and researcher Vince Wilson. You can also do research in one the country’s most prolific collections of paranormal literature in the US – THE HAUNTED COTTAGE’S paranormal research library! We also offer weekly paranormal workshops to train the next generation of paranormal researchers. Learn the science of paranormal research.

SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE BOOTH HOUSE

February 20th: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM EST. Junior Ghost Hunter Camp. Kids 5-16 years-old are welcome to ghost hunt at THE HAUNTED COTTAGE! Children will learn what the three main types of ghosts are and how to use ghost hunting equipment.

Saturday March 6th: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST. HAUNTED COTTAGE GRAND OPENING! Tour the Booth House during the open house events all day! Later that night, participate in a reproduced séance from the late 1800’s and then a real séance at midnight! You can also have the chance to investigate the Booth House for a special HAUNTED OVERNIGHT.
